THE Board of the Brewers Association of Australia and New Zealand is pleased to announce that Brett Heffernan has been appointed the organisation’s new CEO.
Mr Heffernan was Senior Media Advisor to the former Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of The Nationals Warren Truss for five years and before that spent almost a decade with peak industry groups, as the General Manager of Public Affairs for the National Farmers’ Federation and Public Affairs Manager with the Australian Private Hospitals Association.
The Brewers Association represents Australia’s major brewers in legislative and regulatory affairs and is committed to building a positive drinking culture.
The members of the Brewers Association look forward to Mr Heffernan leading the organisation into the future and ensuring the views of the industry are strongly represented.
Mr Heffernan commenced his new position this week and the Board looks forward to working closely with him.
