amanda watson – Chief Executive Officer
Amanda began her working life in hospitality small business ownership and hotel management, adding a layer of understanding to her Brewers role.
Amanda brings experience from roles in Commonwealth Ministerial Offices, most recently as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister for Communications where she worked across the Parliament to contribute to the achievement of social and industry reforms.
Prior to joining the government, Amanda was a policy, and public affairs lead in business advocacy and spent more than a decade in the higher education sector.
Under Amanda’s leadership, the BAA said it will continue to work for its members engaging with governments, the Alcohol Beverages Advertising Code Scheme, health experts, brewing supply chain participants and primary producers, and local organisations to promote responsible drinking, support local jobs, and ensure that beer remains a positive part of Australians’ way of life.
Sarah Lovett – Project Manager
Sarah joined the Brewers Association in August 2016.
She spent 15 years working in the fields of Information Technology, Sales and Operations Management in the pharmaceuticals industry in Sydney.
Prior to that, Sarah was a retail trainer for NSW lotteries.
After starting a family, she moved back to Canberra. With Brewers, she manages the day-to-day operations of the Association, as well as the Secretariat functions of the Technical Committee.
From December 2016 to June 2017, Sarah managed a major project in the Tasmania Beer Trail – a joint venture between the Brewers Association and the Tasmanian Government, promoting beer from grain to glass across the Apple Isle.
Sarah has managed several special events, including the State of Origin, Brewers Nights and Taste of Tasmania events at Parliament House on behalf of Brewers.
